PROGRESS WEBSITE FOR NEW AIRPORT
September 29, 2008
A new web site has been launched to help educate the public on the progress of the $318.5 million Panama City/Bay County International Airport. The website is
www.newpcairport.com.
The website is user-friendly and includes a timeline of milestones leading up to the groundbreaking. This is the first built in the U.S. in the last 13 years. The website also contains constant photo and video development updates.
"The development of the new airport is moving forward ahead of schedule and on budget," said Randy Curtis, Airport Executive Director. "This new web site is a vehicle to carry useful and interesting project information to the local community, traveling public and those in the aviation and transportation industries."
The site features a number of photographs and videos showcasing many construction elements and progress illustrations that are currently underway. Navigation tabs can be found on the site’s homepage that allow users to simply retrieve information regarding project partners, environmental impact, and important contact information.
To let readers know how many days are left until the Airport Authority’s target date of Memorial Day 2010 a daily countdown feature is on the website.
To have project updates sent directly to an e-mail address, use the website subscribe feature.
